What is Sturdy Stable Strong?
Sturdy Stable Strong is a fitness class designed to help participants build a foundation of strength and stability.
We noticed that some of our Tai Chi Participants needed more than Tai Chi to help build strength, balance and stability in their daily lives. We took what we know from years of fitness and strength building in our martial arts and created a class that will help our friends.
What is a typical class like?
Each class is 30 minutes long including the warm up and cool down. We work upper body, lower body and core. Everything we do can be modified to fit most people. We utilize functional movements to strengthen our muscles and stabilize the joints.
Can I Do Sturdy Stable Strong?
Most people can do Sturdy Stable Strong. You should be able to stand for about 30 minutes. We do have benches for friends who can not get down on the floor.
Our most important rule applies to this class as well.
IF IT HURTS DON’T DO IT. WE WILL FIND AWAY AROUND IT.
We can find a modification for most moves… upwards and downwards. If its too easy, we can scale up, if its too hard or hurts, we can scale down.
We start where you are and build from there.
Who takes this class?
The Ladies fill this class. That being said… we absolutely welcome men to join us. We will not take it easy on you though…
We have friends who get a lot of activity but like the class atmosphere so they come.
We have friends who need help because climbing stairs is tough… we help them get stronger.
Is this class for me?
