PiYo is a hybrid, athletic workout , which combines the mind/body practices of yoga and pilates, as well as the principles of stretch, strength training, conditioning and dynamic movement.

PiYo isn’t like standard Pilates and yoga classes that make you hold long, intense poses, or lead you through dozens of repetitive, microscopic core movements. PiYo combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga. PiYo speeds everything up—by introducing you to dynamic, flowing sequences that can burn serious calories at the same time as they lengthen and tone your muscles and increase your flexibility.

PiYo is an hour long class that consists of 8 sections, including warm-up and cool down, set to current music. There are modifications for all advanced moves. No matter your age, body type, fitness level – PiYo will work for you. You do not need to have previous exposure or experience with yoga or pilates to benefit from this class.
